ok, steph over at adentures in babywearing annouced earlier this week that she was going to put stash shots up today and invite people to link with theirs. since she has been borrowing one of my woven wraps it only made sense for me to join in. without further ado, here are some stash pics:

wraps laid out

wraps folded & stacked
the wraps above are (top to bottom):
je porte mon bebe in black/grey
didymos natural grown brown indio 6
didymos jorinde 6
didymos eva 6
didymos violet and white pfau dyed black cherry 6
didymos cassis waves 5
dydmos lavendel ellipsen 4
i found action shots of all of these but i didn’t want to drown you all in photo’s. infact, i had fun going through my iphoto and finding all the pictures i could of me wearing the bean and the pea. i put them all in a folder and maybe i’ll make a little book up for myself one day. it was also fun to visit with all the carriers i have tried, so many different didy’s and some mt’s and some ssc’s.
i do use one ssc still, the only pic i could find was an old action shot with the bean from when i first got it.

i still don't know how to fix the sideways issue!
this is an angel pack lx.
ok, with those shown it only makes sense for me to get onto my fun new idea. i really enjoyed sending pfau out to steph to try out and i hope she had fun trying it. i feel so blessed that i have been able to wear my children in woven wraps and i think it would be really great to spread the love. i know there are people out there who want to try wrapping but are afraid of spending the money when they are not sure they will like it and/or are afraid that it will be too difficult to learn how to wrap.
so here is my idea, i am going to pull a few wraps out of my stash and i am going to loan them to my readers! i will provide the wrap, instructions for using it, and whatever support i can from afar (email etc) to make it all less overwhelming to try. you try out my wrap for a few weeks and then send it back to me so that i can let someone else try it out. sound fun?
if you are interested come on back tomorrow when i will have a way for you to enter to be the first to experience the woowoo woven wrap loan!

These are drool worthy. I’ll have your pfau on its way back to you this weekend – I think that’s a great idea to share the love like that.
Steph
steph – thank you for taking care of pfau so nicely. you guys look great in her. you can keep her a bit longer if you want or send her back if you are ready…
They’re so preeeetty all stacked up like that!
i agree. kind of like when all the diapers are washed, folded and put in their correct drawers.
Your wraps are gorgeous.
And I think your loan idea is wonderful. A good wrap is a major investment, and I know I was very glad to have the chance to try a friend’s wrap before I got my own. But not everyone has that chance. What a great way to help others!
i think all wraps are gorgeous but then again, i have a Wrap Problem.
i hope my loan idea works out to be helpful. that is the intention behind it…
Goooooorgeeeouuussssss! I love them all. A lot. A lot a lot.
awwww, thanks! (me too. clearly. or i wouldn’t have them…ok i’ll be quiet now.)
I love the variety of colors you have!
variety is the spice of life. all these different colors are also different weaves. how woven wrap geeky is that?!?
I love my moby but lately I have heard that woven wraps are even better. I love the ease and comfort of being wrapped with my baby. I may just have to come back and read all about how to try one out tomorrow. Of course when I love it Hubby is not going to be happy to hear that I want a new one. Oh well too bad for him. Those are gorgeous by the way.
my je porte mon bebe is a stretchy (although heavier duty than the moby i believe). i had to try it to try a stretchy since i was always saying i liked woven’s better but i had never actually tried a stretchy. so, anyway, i got the jpmbb and it is fun, in a way, but i have a clear preference. maybe it is the addiction speaking, but i just love how a woven carries! so, that is my way of saying — yes, you should try one!
I love these pictures! How special these all are! My favorite is the natural grown brown indio!
How much of an investment is a wrap???
i liked your idea it puts a new dimension to life and our carriers especially if not in use any longer or for the time being
Sounds like a great plan! I am currently lending out a Mei tai and a bundleboo to a neighbor- great to share the love!
I’m very excited about your wrap loan. It’s tomorrow already wake up and tell me how to get my chance at borrowing one
so pretty!
look at all those!
